A freestanding pool house for changing, bathing, storage, and refreshments was desired for the back yard of an existing modern home. The clients, an industrial designer of Japanese decent and a American graphic designer, sought reference to tranquil qualities of the traditional Japanese tea house, in which sliding screens provide varying degrees of privacy and openness to nature.
