Madison Park Residence
This project investigates the architectural concept of served and service spaces. The project program called for a residence toaccommodate a family of six while also serving as a platform for entertaining and displaying a growing collection of contemporary art. A means to resolve these conflicting requirements, the design's parti has been fully developed in a three dimensional composition that promotes the children's interaction with the art while maintaining separation from the errant soccer ball. Uses, organized vertically and horizontally about a light-filled gallery, are clearly identifiable through their architectural form and materiality.
