To design a climate and site responsive single family home with private outdoor spaces using low maintenance materials that harmonize with the environment. As a patron of the arts, the client desired a home that used local materials in a transformative way that challenges the pre-conceived notion of what a “cabin” could look like while being sensitive to the neighboring homes and their views of and around this new form in the landscape.
