Living with dual work spaces; able to transform into a single family residence with accessory dwelling unit. Small corner lot in dense older single family neighborhood. Views of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains and full western exposure. Compact footprint and massing-recognize the scale of the existing neighborhood while energizing its inevitable transformation. Apply modernism in a fresh way-restrained and warm, filled with modulated light. Sensible sustainable design where it supports the architecture but is not the protagonist.
